FY24 Ettrick Passenger Rail Station Improvements

This project supports planning activities to start the process of designing and constructing a new passenger rail station that will replace the obsolete and structurally deficient 1950s Ettrick station.

The new station facility will serve not only 30,000 passengers expected in 2023, but the two-fold

credit:


increase in passengers expected from doubling of service through Ettrick that will result from the development of the Richmond to Raleigh corridor segment.

The project will also plan for a new third track and platform that will serve Amtrak trains now and in the future.
